Ingredients!
8 Fresh Peaches (If they are a little hard it will make your life so much easier when you peel and slice them.)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbs vanilla
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Topping
1 1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter cut into chunks
1/3 cup boiling water
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Peel and slice the peaches and add into a 9x9 baking pan.
Add brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla, and nutmeg to the peaches and mix until the peaches are coated.
Bake for 10 minutes and remove from the oven.
While that bakes, whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
Add in butter and mix in until the mixture is crumbly.
Pour in the boiling water and mix until combined.
Spoon mixture over the peaches making sure you cover the whole tray.
**OPTIONAL** Sprinkle the tops with a mixture 4 tsp sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
Bake for an additional 35 minutes until the top is golden brown.
