Caramelized pork

2 lbs pork butt

1/2 onion

1 tbs of oil (give or take)

1 1/2 cups water

2 tbs fish sauce

1 tbs soy sauce

3 tbs brown sugar

Cooked Rice for serving

Green onions for garnish


  1. Cut the pork into bite size pieces and finely dice the onion.

  2. To a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and add in your pork and onion.

  3. Once the pork is slightly browned mix in water, soy sauce, fish sauce and brown sugar. Cook for about 30 minutes until water absorbs and the sauce thickens and browns.

  4. Serve over rice with green onions on top. Enjoy!
